CAJ works to ensure that human rights are adequately protected, promoted, defended and respected in Northern Ireland by ensuring that the government adheres to its human rights obligations.
We do this by:
Responding to examinations of government’s compliance with international human rights treaties.
Campaigning for a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland.
Providing human rights training for a range of groups and organisations.
Issuing information updates, and holding conferences and roundtable debates.
Making submissions to policy consultations from a human rights perspective.
Lobbying at local, regional and international level.
Working to build a culture of human rights in Northern Ireland.
